Orientation Time!!!

Today is the first of 30 for these ladies to show us what they got!! Anneliese, Lake and Molly are getting down to the nitty gritty and are learnin' how to make your day!! Your team of favorite Daymakers has each taken a piece of the Embellish culture and will be teaching them what it means to be one of the crew. From the Davines Multispace Concept to the in house created Signature shampoo, we'll have these ladies making your day in no time!!! Good luck!!!

New Week, New Talents, New Deal of the Week

You may have seen a new face sprinkled about the Daymaker layer and we are excited to get this New Talent thing started. For the next 30 days Anneliese, Lake and Molly will be run through the rigorous gauntlet of learning our culture, winning us over and hopefully causing us all to fall in love with them and keep them around for a while. We are ecstatic about the prospect of having some new energy and new faces added to our team. If you're in getting your day made within the next 30 days, we'll be sure to introduce you. Carthame Oil.... It's Amazing!!!

 

Carthame Oil, more commonly known as Safflower Oil, is one of the main ingredients in Davines' newly launched Authentic skin care line. After doing some research on why Davines chose to use this ingredient as well as why all that have tried it LOVE it, we found some interesting tid bits about Carthame/Safflower Oil:

Carthame or Safflower (Carthamus tintorius, Composae). Grown mainly in India, Mexico, Ethiopia, Australia and cultivated in USA. The plant was known in ancient Egypt (mummy of pharaoh Amenophis I, 1600 B.C.), in the Persian Gulf and used until recently for its tinctorial properties (pink, red color). 

Oil content: 30-40%. The oil which has one of the highest linoleic acid content (75-80%) is used in lipochemistry, human nutrition and dietetic. Thus, safflower oil is utilized as cooking oil and in the form of salad oil, mayonnaise, margarine and in processed foods. Nonfood uses are coatings, paints, and alkyd or polyamide resins.
Most of the commonly cultivated varieties contain more than 70% linoleic acid in their oil but some varieties have been developed with high oleic (up to 70%) or stearic (5-10%) acid contents.

Join Us For Well-Being Wednesday

What: a gathering of alternative medicine practitioners, nutritionists, energy workers, massage therapists, healers, and promoters of general well being practices to share their knowledge, expertise, and magic with you and each other. We'd like to invite you to come to hear about various methods of enhancing your physical/mental health and life styles.

When: 2nd Wednesday of each month we'll have three 15-20 min presentations starting off with a casual mingling/networking and enjoyment of simple treats and refreshments provided by Smooth & Juicey. Between each presentation we'll Zumba dance – provided by Tea.

Where: Embellish Multispace Salon 1121 Ct. D Downtown Tacoma (by the YMCA)

Why: Because it’s fun to learn, we could all use a break from regular daily life, and we will leave with a renewed energy. Plus we’ll meet new people.
