When the Cat's Away

Trish is away on a trip this week so some of your favorite Daymakers have been left to fend for themselves!! This means we're gonna have some fun this week!! The cat's away so us mice are gonna play!!

Word on the streets is that our own Trish is going to be one of the contestants in a Tacoma version of Dancing with the Stars!! We can't wait to see her moves!!!

Too Much Fun Stuff!!!

Via perusing some of Tacoma's very Tacoma-esque sites such as the Exit 133 site, Feed Tacoma and Go Local's GoPage it's plain as day that there are some super fun things going on in Tacoma this summer. It seems as though there's a festival every weekend or a fundraiser of worthy cause. there's always a celebration somewhere and we all love how Tacoma seems to come together and make such beautiful things happen.

With the weekend already here and plans to be made, we'd like to encourage you to visit these websites and peruse for yourself. You never know what may spark your interest and maybe there's something awesome to add to your list of fun things to do this weekend!!!

Let your favorite receptionist or Daymaker know when  you make your appointment or before you check out that you'd like to donate 10% of your service to the Fab5 youths. They've already expressed such gratitude and we'd like to help keep positive programs like this alive!! Thanks in advance for your donations!!!

All We Wanna Do Is Dance!!!

There have been musings around the salon about things around the T-town area that we can get involved in over the rest of the Summer and through the end of the year. We're going to be involved in some fundraisers next month (see previous post: Embellish and the Fab5) and there are other events that seem to have peaked the interests of your favorite Daymakers and clients alike. One true theme that seems to ring throughout the chorus is the theme of dance!!

Dance, dance, dance.... It's something that our bodies tend to do (some with more awkwardness than others) without us knowing it when we hear our favorite song or get a little giddy. We all have our own happy dance whether we do it in public or not. Your Daymakers see it sometimes when a client gets more out of their service than they ever could have imagined. It's a sign of happiness and a true expression of emotion.

With that said....

In the near future you may hear us talk about some of our dance related activities and one that has been touched on lightly is the Guinness World Record attempt at breaking the largest "Thriller Dance" record that was set last year. Details, if we so choose to take part, will be posted soon but we wanted to know what you thought about getting involved. Let us know what you think about joining in on the fun and where you think would be the best place to attempt such a feat. I bet we can all do Tacoma proud by helping to show the world just how "thrilling" we can be!!
