Tacoma's Gone Coutry!!

If you've passed by what used to be Cans down on 9th and Pacific, you may have noticed a slight change in attitude. The jeans are tighter, the hats are bigger and by George they're are cowboy boots trekking the streets of Downtown Tacoma's growing nightlife district. With the Matador, Surreal Ultra Lounge, The Office, Paddy Coynes and Meconi's as loving neighbors, Big Whiskey sure makes its presence known by attracting Tacoma's own Country music lovin', whiskey drinkin' crowd. Now, don't feel like you have to run out and buy yourself a pair of Wranglers to fit it. This place has a very inviting and comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel like "everybody knows your name". Cement Powder.... Not As Concrete As You'd Think

 If you've been in the salon within the last few months, you may have noticed that we've run into some technical difficulties with our internet and even our cable. Well, it turns out that a lot of those challenges have been due to the fact that our building is just plain OLD!!!  Luckily, we have had the pleasure of having service with both Click Cable and Integra and they have been more than patient with our needs and wants. It's gotten to the point where we've come to know some of the service guys by name. Rest assured that both service providers have diligently worked with us to get our cable and internet running at tip top shape. We appreciate all that they've done for us and we especially appreciate the more than helpful woman who helped us on the phone yesterday and sent out a tech who was more than willing to help us out with out easily fixable fuzzy TV screen. Thanks Click! and Integra!! You're the best!!

The count down has begun and we know you've marked your calendar for this month's Art Walk. Now all you have to do is add to that the 8:30pm showing of "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" in Tollefson Plaza. Go Local, Click Cable and all sorts of other Tacoma types have put there heads together to bring us an outdoor movie. Word on the streets is that there will be popcorn and goodies of all kinds so make sure you make it down to Tollefson Plaza on the 19th!! It's bound to be a great time!!

Via perusing some of Tacoma's very Tacoma-esque sites such as the Exit 133 site, Feed Tacoma and Go Local's GoPage it's plain as day that there are some super fun things going on in Tacoma this summer. It seems as though there's a festival every weekend or a fundraiser of worthy cause. there's always a celebration somewhere and we all love how Tacoma seems to come together and make such beautiful things happen.
